GP Birla Scholarship 2025: If you are a West Bengal or Jharkhand student from class 12 and have sufficient marks in your board exams, here is the chance for you! G.P. Birla Educational Foundation launched the GP Birla Scholarship 2025. G. P. Birla Scholarship offers monetary help up to ₹50,000 per annum for deserving students for whose financial support is mandatory to enable them to do higher education.

What is the GP Birla Scholarship?
The GP Birla Scholarship was established by Smt. Nirmala Birla was a tribute to Shri G.P. Birla, a well-known industrialist and philanthropist. The GP Birla Educational Foundation administers the scholarship to financially assist deserving students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in any stream, including Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Architecture, and professional courses such as CA, CS, and Cost Accountancy.
The scholarship aims to assist financially needy students with good academic records of performance in Class 12.

Who is eligible to apply for the GP Birla Scholarship 2025?
The GP Birla Scholarship is a competitive award. There are specific conditions of eligibility:
Domicile: West Bengal or Jharkhand as domicile
Education: Completed Class 12 Education in 2025
Valid Percentage:
- WBCHSE or JAC board (at least 85%)
- ISC or CBSE board (at least 90%)
- Family Income: less than ₹ 3,00,000 (per annum)
- Course: Attempting a full-time undergraduate degree at a college or a university recognized by a government authority in India.
Please note that exceptional scholarship eligibility may be given to exceptionally talented students from higher family incomes at the discretion of the Trustees.
What is the GP Birla Scholarship Benefits?
If selected students are awarded :
- Scholarship Amount of ₹50,000 each year(for tuition fees and/or hostel fees, if applicable).
- A one-time book grant of ₹ 7,000 in the first-year.
- Scholarship is renewable each year for a maximum total of four years, based on academic standards.
Selection Process
This is a Selection process, championed by a team of experienced academicians:
- Checking the eligibility.
- Check the credentials.
- Shortlisting.
- (Likely) Interview (but only if required by the selection committee).
- Final selection made by the Selection Committee which includes experts, including Prof. Sumanta Basu (IIM Kolkata) and Dr. Rajib, Das (Jadavpur University).

- Download and or complete the educational foundation application form online
- Fill in the application form, send to the Foundation – use registered mail with intimation or email.
- All application forms require documentary proof such as:
- Class 12 marksheet/ diploma
- Income certificate
- Proof of admission in to the college
- Any requisite papers
